Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Can I burn the HearthLogg® firelog in my wood stove?
A. HearthLogg® firelog burns too hot to be used in a wood stove. Closing the doors and starving the firelog of oxygen may cause a flashback when opening the doors.

Q. Can I burn firewood with my HearthLogg® firelog?
A.  HearthLogg® firelogs are manufactured to burn without any additional fuel. Firelogs should not be moved and nothing should be burned with them. Movement may cause the firelog to break apart which creates a flare-up.

Q. Can I burn more than one HearthLogg® firelog at one time?
A. Burning more than one firelog at a time will create too much heat, which may cause the firelog to break apart causing a flare-up, and will also affect the length of time your firelog burns.

Q. Will burning the HearthLogg® firelog clog my chimney?
A. Not at all. HearthLogg® firelogs completely burn and, in fact, contain 66% less creosote than burning normal firewood.

Q. Why do I need to leave my glass doors open while burning my HearthLogg® firelog?
A. Artificial firelogs need abundant oxygen to burn correctly.  If you close the doors and starve the firelog for oxygen, opening the doors can cause a flashback.  Also, the temper of the glass in your doors is not made to withstand this heat and may shatter over time.

Q. Can I use the HearthLogg® firelog with my fireplace insert?
A. Yes.  Please make sure your glass doors remain open at all times.
